Let's say we're going on a 18 hour road trip, what kind of music would you take with you to make the car ride enjoyable? |

well my aunt puts on country music whenever she goes somewhere in a car (long distance) but I dislike country. I'd have a marathon of some bands, to hear all their stuff and listen to them progress. -Dan |

Ha, I don't think I could stand hearing Country songs for 18 hours. What bands would you listen to? |

I prefer mostly Punk and Metal to help the time pass. |

Hmm, well if i were to go on this road trip right now i would probably go through a lot of stuff from my favorite bands. Probably would listen to All my Rise Against stuff, A lot of System of a Day, be ADD through Green Day, listen to 2 Linkin Park albums, stop at a best buy or 2 along the way and pick up some new stuff, then i'd go through all my random music, on and listen to "livin on a Prayer" after 9 hours, no matter what i am doing. YEa, and then i might just scrap the whole thing and just talk to myself for the last 2 hours, or be silent....actually it's hard to predict what i would do, for instance i could see a road sign, and it would remind me of a song..or i could instant decide i'm sick of this song and go to something completely different (after of course declaring, "and now for something Completely different"). Yea...hmmmm...would be an interesting car ride... |

I'd listen to stuff I like but am not familar with yet. Like, I just discovered a band called Smile Empty Soul and I'm liking them a lot. So, I'd play them, then switch to similar music. I wouldn't recommend really adrenaline pumping music, that could probably cause you to lose focus on the road... -Dan |

I think 70's and 80's rock is the way to go on a roadtrip. Metal/Techno always makes me drive faster, and you don't want to get a ticket. Everything else can just go away. |

Remind me never to go on a road trip witn BLinkinPark. Or Anakin's aunt for that matter. All of my music can fit on my iPod, so I'd just bring everything with me. I like punk/alternative, although that's been known to make me drive faster. But I have yet to get my first traffic violation, so I'm good. I do have more mellow music that I usually listen to in the morning, but I don't think that'd be good for a car ride (might fall asleep at the wheel or something). Right now, I'm listening to Kiss by Korn. Evolution by Korn, Pet by A Perfect Circle and the remix called Counting Bodies like Sheep by A Perfect Circle. Seether, Drowning Pool, Three Days Grace. Oh, and the song from the trailer of The Watchmen, The Beginning is the end is the beginning by Smashing Pumpkins. |
