I just read an interesting trilogy called Peter and the Starcatchers, which is a deeper, darker, much more interesting version of Peter Pan by Dave Berry, the comedian/columnist and some other guy. May not sound great but its actually quite good. -Dan |

Oh, I just read this totally awesome book recently. it's called "Illusions", and is written by Richard Bach. I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, simple, yet sophisticated read. The only thing is, it comes across as slightly preachy at first, but gets very interesting as it moves onward. |

Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours. The world is your exercise-book, the pages on which you do your sums. It is not reality, although you can express reality there if you wish. You are also free to write nonsense, or lies, or to tear the pages. The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.

![]() Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you want to go? was his response. I don't know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn't matter.

To this list I add my top five favorite books: 1) The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand 2) A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens 3) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee 4) Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons 5) The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux (INFINITELY better than the play) If, however, you would prefer some more recent fare, I recommend The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. The first book (The Eye of the World) is a little slow and predictable, but it sets up the series, which gets exponentially better with each new book. The first of three parts of the final book is coming out next month, but it'll probably take you a while to get through all 11 existing books. There is also a prequel, but it is not necessary to enjoy the series. |
