Posts: 1,386 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jun 18, 2009	Alright guys, we're going to be starting up a Forum Game, that all members can participate in, I got the idea from another friend of mine, who's an Admin on another board and I really liked it, and wanted to share the fun with you guys. So I'll explain. Basically what we're going to do is have as many members as we can vote on like 3-5 games that they have really enjoyed, and we're going to try to make it branch out, like don't just pick 5 games from one system, it makes it hard to have different characters for this battle. Even if you have only owned 1 type of system your whole life, still pick a variety of games from different systems that you may have heard good things about, that way we can have some variety. We also don't want you to pick a game twice, and what we mean by that is, a game that has like a sequel or a prequel, like Resident Evil, there have been a lot of Resident Evil games, if you pick Resident Evil 3, we really don't want you to pick Resident Evil 5 for your 2nd game choice. Again, this is just to help us with a variety of characters. The way the game works is that each of you will probably pick 3-5 Games, depending on the number of participants. For Each Game you pick you will give 2 Characters from that game and provide a picture of them, we will stop taking entrants once we have 32 characters. Now that we have the 32 Characters we will then use a randomizer to match the characters up 1 vs 1, they will then battle, and the battle will be held by votes, each of our members that wants to participate can vote for 1 of the characters that is battling, they cannot vote for both of them. We're still deciding if we're going to let them get a certain number of votes or just give it a time line to close the topic and eliminate the character that didn't make it to the next round. Once the first round of characters have been eliminated we will then post up round 2, and do the same thing, members will vote again, we'll eliminate the character who didn't make it and begin the next round.We'll continue to do so until the final round, to see who will be the Champion. Ex: Ganondorf vs Marth (I'll vote for Ganondorf since I think he is stronger and will win, and just cause I like him more.) Pikachu vs Crash Bandicoot ( I'll vote for Crash ) And you'll just keep voting for the characters in each thread. REMEMBER, YOU CAN ONLY VOTE FOR ONE OF THE CHARACTERS, NOT BOTH! Pretty easy and sounds fun right? Now for the next part of it. Once we have the characters that will be battling it out we will then ask the members to look the Characters over and SECRETLY pick one, the way you will end up doing this, is you will PM me the character that you predict will win the whole tournament and I will keep it for reviewing purposes until the Tournament is over. The person who ends up having the winning character will be able to wear a special tag or have their name in a certain color for a brief time frame, you will also be able to pick the simulations for the next Character Battle. We're still deciding if we can come up with something better for the winning member so please if you have any idea's let us know through PM or you can simply post it here. If you have any questions on how you play the game, please feel free to ask and we will answer them for you. Again, I want this to be fun for all members so be respectful to one another, don't flame someone just because they picked a game that you think "sucks" or something. Be respectful. Questions?
