I wanted you guys to list your opinions on the top 5 decks of the format. I'll go ahead and start with mine. Gladiator Beasts - they will always be a top deck in any given format until they get butchered by the banlist. Blackwings - You should be running 3 Icarus Attack with them. It's so good. Lightsworns - cause they sack. Zombie DaD - Pretty much a TeleDaD type thing but running with the Zombie Engine (2 Mezuki, 2 Goblin Zombie, 1 Spirit Reaper, 1 Plaguespreader) And I'll leave the 5th one as a throw up. What do you guys think? |

1) Zombies - Mezuki is too good and swarms all wtf? even skill drain zombies can destroy decks 2) Lightsworns - Dodge the bullet again and still a top contender..... 3) Gladiator Beast - Even with summoner monk and rescue cat at one, they can still win. Ancient Forest added will a tough beat for glad beast as they tagged before getting destroyed by Ancient Forest...I already see D.D. Glad Beast, looks so deadly with ancient forest 4) Blackwings - Still a tough deck to beat with vayu on the loose...might see skill drain variants in this format 5) Monarchs - With raiza at three, PC or Removal variants are the way to go but but, with the help of Plasma, this might turn ugly for the opponent as they will get mind crush... Other decks that might be on the rise are Gadgets all because three fissures... Edited by shindavid07, Sep 14 2009, 03:25 PM.

i think that it will be the ones you just mentioned along with swarms of stun decks now that DCK has become more easily obtainable. |

I agree with Stun decks being the 5th option, but I disagree that it's because of DCK. While DCK is more accessible, I personally think it's not that great of a card. I'd much prefer to use Thunderking's. I think we will also see a rise of Bushi/Solidatiry decks at some point as well. Doomcalibur Knight. Here's a link to the picture. well yes, doomcaliber alone isn't going to be the main cause for stun deck rising this format (seeing as solemn got limited to 1) but he does add more playability to stun decks seeing as he's a dark which will allow them the use of allure's now. along with being able to negate any monster effect that activates and its 1900/1800 stats, this makes for one hell of a card. Also, i guess 3 fissure's might help out as well, though soul taker has been around for a while and basically does the same thing. dan should write a review *hint hint*

I've never liked Soul Taker either. I don't like giving my opponent LP unless it doesn't matter (Exodia decks). DCK can be a very brutal card as long as you aren't retarded trying to play it. |

I never really liked DCK, mostly because there is always a way for your opponent to -1 you. |

Like I said, it's not a bad card if you aren't retarded. But the problem is it becomes a bad card if your opponent isn't retarded. |

And at most competitive tournaments your opponent is not going to be retarded. |

Probably some DaD/Zombie hybrids, Glad Beast, Lightsworn, Chaos (possible Monarch hybrid) and Blackwings... in no particular order, of course. I've been playing non-stop Gladiator Beast and some Chaos builds but I may pull out the Blackwing binder soon. It could even be possible that XSabers work their way up a bit... they're already seeing quite a bit of play.

I'd switch 1 and 2, but other than that, that's pretty much the order of them. |

Yeah, as it stands Lightsworns are on top. I'd wait for Hidden Arsenal to really decide the order. -Dan |
