Onar, the Wizard of Lost Ages Posts: 597 Group: Members Member #4 Joined: Aug 8, 2009	KBI Sinstar asked me to post this report so I did: B]-:- Saturday -:-[/B] Woke up around 10 and played some Gears of War 2 with some friends. I had planned to spend most of the day hanging out with my sister (and go to California Pizza Kitchen ^-^) so I text her to confirm the plans. While I wait I play a few rounds of Tekken 6 and a few games of Gears....and then 4 o'clock rolls around and no sissy . I then hit my friend Jeremy up and see if anything is going on, he tells me that there is a Regional on Sunday and asks if I want to go...of course I say yes lol. Its not until 11pm that he gets to my house, so before that I got in a few rounds of 1v100 (game is addictive). We're staying at his Gf's dorm so I bring a blanket an pillow..debating on bringing my Xbox but it turns out there's no tv there QQ... He finally gets here and I'm met with the smiling faces of Liz and Switzer (hope I spelled it right lmao). The car ride was fun though after a while I got tired of listening to the random music on the radio so I bust out my Blue Ant™ blue tooth headphones and listened to The Prize Fighter Inferno backed by the sound of club mixes pounding through the car speakers. We get there and after some chatter playtesting begins. I'm thinking about using Deep Sea Diva build...the deck is fun and fast but it runs out of steam quickly and has very little success versus LS and Blackwings (which is what I expected to see a lot of) so I'm thinking of switching to AKB maybe...but I go with a chaos build. After figuring that out we head to bed. -:- Sunday -:- We wake up at around 7 and get fresh and whatnot (ugh! I've been to many events where people seem to have not heard of a shower....). We leave at around 8:30 and stop at McDonald for a quick bite. Soon after, we're back on the road where we see that there is/was a bad accident that was being cleaned up. We get through the mess of traffic and rush to the place that the event will be held, only to find out that the judges were held up at the accident as well so registration is extended. We get there, sign up and get our packs and at the very last minute Jeremy and I decide to switch decks, meaning I'll be running Blackwings! I rush to get Brionac and Catastor and as I get finished sleeving them round 1 is up! Rd1- Blackwing v. Zombies This guy was playing a pure Zombie deck but without mezuki. I lose 2-1 because of bad draws, Pile shuffling helps a lot!! Rd2- BW mirror; I've played this guy at SJC. Game 1; I win quickly with Blackwing swarm. Game 2; He drops Sirocco and Bora with 1 back row. So I mimic and attack straight into Waboku he wins from there. Game 3; He draws bad, I draw good enough to control the game and win. GG man. Rd3- X-Sabers; 2-0 Game 1; I don't really know what each X-saber does but I do know which one I do not want to see....Faultroll...I get rid of him and win from there. Game 2; After a long game I end up with oppression face up and Gale in attack mode as well as an in hand Kalut. His field is open and he has no cards in hand. I peck with gale to get him to 1000lp. He draws Airbellum and attacks into my kalut...He looked like he wanted to punch me lol. GG Rd4- v. Ls twilight (the deck that won last jump) Game 1; I draw decent but I could tell by his face that he drew crap. I win quickly. Game 2; He draws pretty good and ends up with double Lumina and Garoth. He mills a wulf and necro and has in hand Double JD and Gorz. I have Goyo, Armor Master, Shura and Catastor on the field. I swing into lumina and he scoops up, forgetting about his necro. Sorry dude. All in all he was a cool guy, gg man Rd5- Pure Zombies w/Mali (not DHZ); Game 1; I come back from a devastating Dimensional Prison and win the duel. Game 2; I decide not to side deck and I open with the nuts! He draws double mali and just can't get a break. cool guy,note main decked oppression is pretty good. Rd6- DHZ; Game 1; I win barely. If he had 1 more mezuki in grave I would have lost. Game 2; Zombie synchro madness wreck my face Game 3; He set 1 monster and passed. I opened trip Bora, Sirocco, double Black Whirlwind. Otk Rd7- v. Germol Daniels....DHZ; note I already don't like this kid as we play at locals...he's a very questionable player and known for slow play. Game 1; I get it over with quick.. Game 2; He stalls me to no end...He took 5 mins to let an attack on Goblin Zombie go through when he has no cards in hand or necro guardnas in grave...I lose. Game 3; I foresee us going into time so I side in 2 chain strikes (anti stall measure..normally works though) He takes a while to shuffle my deck. I cut, he cuts back.. I draw 3x Book of moon, Dust tornado and brain control....needless to say I lost. Rd8- v. A Kid w/ChimeraTown; Game 1= BW swarm. Game 2&3= Future + Overload = ...think its kinda strange that he gets it off twice in a row....about turn 3-4 both times.... Before we begin Round 9, I mention to my friend who was judging that the kid otk'd me twice in a row after I pile shuffled his deck. I thought it was funny and he asked for the kid's name, I was like "Nah, he's like 12 I don't think he cheated. Its just funny". 5 mins later my friend runs up to me and said they caught the kid taking Future Overload out of his pocket...I was steamed but its my own fault for not paying attention Rd9-v. Brian Hines-KrystiaSworn- He's a former teammate and we played for fun since he has his invite, he offers me the scoop because of my last 2 rounds...gg At the end of it all I get 34th.....out of 260+ so its not too bad....I really wish I didn't get screwed out of my top but its cool there's always next time ^-^ Props- -5 straight wins. -Getting 34th -Opening triple Bora -Liz smashing faces! Slops- -Getting 34th -The things people do to win a book and a mat. spot reserved for decklist --fayt_ravencroft

Nice job with the Blackwings. That sucks about the kid cheating though. At least he got what he deserved. Nice job.
