So, this week my new Ace Card was released, Elemental Hero Absolute Zero, and i was just DYING to give this bad boy a test run......SO!!!! that leads me to stop by local's and play some games. First: THE DECK!!! Monsters: 20 Elemental Hero Bladedge x2 Elemental Hero Ocean x2 Elemental Hero Prisma x2 Elemental Hero Sparkman x2 Elemental Hero Stratos x1 Elemental Hero Voltic x2 Elemental Hero Wildheart x2 Elemental Hero Woodsman x2 King of The Swamp x3 Mobius The Frost Monarch x1 Morphing Jar x1 Spells: 17 Brain Control x1 E - Emergency Call x3 Fusion Gate x2 Future Fusion x1 Heavy Storm x1 Miracle Fusion x3 My Body As A Shield x2 Polymerization x2 Reinforcement Of The Army x1 Terraforming x1 Traps: 3 Mirror Force x1 Return From The Different Dimension x1 Torrential Tribute x1 Fusion Deck: 15 Elemental Hero Absolute Zero x3 Elemental Hero Darkbright x1 Elemental Hero Gaia x2 Elemental Hero Plasma Vice x2 Elemental Hero Shinning Flare Wingman x2 Elemental Hero Terra Firma x1 Elemental Hero Thunder Giant x1 Elemental Hero Wild Wingman x1 Elemental Hero Wildedge x2 Side Deck: 15 (okay it's mostly just some other random cards not really a side deck) Elemental Hero Bubbleman x1 Elemental Hero Captain Gold x1 Fusion Gate x1 Fusion Recovery x1 Polymerization x1 R - Righteous Justice x2 Skyscraper x2 Terraforming x1 Bottomless Trap Hole x2 Call Of The Haunted x1 Royal Decree x2 Second: The DUELS!!! So, i wake up at 11:30, shower, eat some food and then make the 5 minute drive down to locals. I walk on in, register, and get my pack of Overdrive for entering. I pulled a Fortune Lady water, ehh, and waited around for my buddy Mckenzie. He shows up, and at about 1ish the games started, so i sat down at table 8 and.....!!!!!!!!!!!! Round 1: Brandon (Elemental Hero) V.S. Random Guy with a Scar on his face from a cat (Budget Blackwings, i think least i didn't see Vayu) Duel 1: So first game, i'm fresh, and ready to go. Unfortunately, I started off with a cruddy hand, 2 Bladedge, Mobius, Future Fusion, Return from the different Dimension, and Heavy Storm. After a bit of a struggle, I power though, with Zero helping me clinch the game. Duel 2: Next game, this guys knows how to play against me a little better, i think. We have a few, "wait, your card does What, moments? but overall it was good. I had a better hand thou. I think my final move was summoning Zero, Dropping Voltic and grabbing Bladedge with his effect for game. Hehehe Result 2-0 Overall Thoughts: I'm off to a great start. I got my dueling blood pumping, and the dude was an alright guy. Intermission: Cuz everyone needs a break, too play more card games!!! Interemission Duel: Brandon (Elemental Hero's) V.S. Mckenzie (Dark Deck, that liked The Dark Creator and D-hero Plasma) Duel 1: We each won our first matches, and we got time, so we play a game. I don't remember much of the duel, besides the fact that i torrential His Dark Creator and then Blast him with 2 Miracle's from there. Results: 1-0 Overall Thoughts: Just a fun game, nuff said. Back to the matches. Round 2: Brandon (Elemental Hero's) V.S. Gary (Zombie's) Duel 1: Okay, now Gary is one of the best guys at my local's, so i'm a little nervous. We play though the first game, and eventually i lose to his trap cards...and get beat with his synchro's. Duel 2: Next game, is different. I got REALLY Lucky in the game. I top Decked Miracle Fusion exactly when i needed it, make him run into my Jar. Then Brain Control his stardust and summon Wildedge for the win....Words can not describe how Happy I was when i won that one Duel 3: He had a bad hand, and i didn't. So i Won that one. Results: 2-1 Overall Thoughts: I was REALLY happy with that game, i was literally flipping out for about 15 minutes after the match i was so happy I won. Now as overall thoughts, i realized that my deck is in need of some kind of Trap protection stuff, whether that is Decree or what I don't know, but I know I need something. Anywho before i left, i gave the dude a good Solid hand shake and walked off. Round 3: Brandon (Elemental Hero's) V.S. He called himself Gambit, idk i guess he thought it was cool (Zombie's) Duel 1: First game, I wrecked the kid pretty well. Ended up OTKing him with Zero, Wildedge, Voltic and then Bladedge. Duel 2: Next game, the kid goes and side decks like 8 cards. Which makes me kind of nervous, but i don't really know what to do about it, so i just play with what I got. I didn't really notice much of a difference in his deck thou. Too bad thou that I didn't draw into any Miracle Fusions. So...i lost Duel 3: Pretty much the same as duel 2. I just didn't get the card when i needed it, ah well it happens. Results: 1-2 Overall Thoughts: Ehh, was okay. The guy was very adept to Zero's effect by the second game, and was playing around that quite nicely. So, good job to him. Twas an alright set of games Round 4: Brandon (Elemental Hero's) V.S. A fellow fun deck player (Harpies, with Glad's) Duel 1: I play my cards well, and eventually top deck 2 miracle fusions and win the game. He then was like, "damn who the hell top decks miracle fusion twice." One of the guys points at me and I smile. Duel 2: Next game, idk but this guy was getting really angst, and he starts playing fairly violently. I think i lost out of sheer intimidation. Duel 3: He goes first, sets one monster and 4 cards facedown. So, either a morphing jar, or this guy is just praying i don't have Heavy....well i didn't, but still. We play a great last game, with him eventually winning, since i didn't draw into Miracle. Results: 1-2 Overall Thoughts: Once again, it was a lot of fun playing the dude. We both use fun decks. Since people who get 3 wins win packs, he got packs, and since i gave him such a hell of a game, he gave me one. Twas cool, didn't pull anything, but still. Final Results: 2-2 Third: FINAL COMMENTS!!! Overall, I was Really Happy with that day. I dueled Fairly well, and it helped me spot a few problems in my deck. Hopefully, I'll put the knowledge to good use. Also, I got my playset of Fortune's Futures, so i'll be able to play with that deck soonish. Hopefully. Oh yea, and i got to eat Qdoba, that makes any day better. Anyway, This was BLP reporting, until next time. "Remember, play with what you like, not what "they" like. It's just more fun that way."
